Greed. Look at how many people are driving SUV's despite how much gas they consume when gas is so expensive now. Look how many of them buy a huge fancy house they can't afford. It's greed!

Stupidity. There is way too much of it. In America specifically I think I would have to say gluttony is our biggest problem. We consume too much of everything and the entire world suffers.
