I need to find a word .........its close to the idea of( nativism-which means movement to ensure that native-born Americans receive better treatment than immigrants) but I need a word that describes people who believe their culture is superior to others...I thought of nationalism but I don't think thats it. SO HELP ME:(

Wanting illegal immigrants to stop breaking into the country is not the same as thinking our culture is superior.
Not breaking the law is superior to breaking it.
There aren't many people who advocate natives receive better treatment than immigrants. There are many people who think immigrants and citizens should receive better treatment than illegals.
Would you treat someone who broke into your home equally to someone who lived there? Would you treat the person who broke in equaly to someone who you invited to enter?

I believe Western culture is superiour to all other cultures.
It's not racist, because Western culture comprises all races and religions in the world.
Western culture, found in and created in, the US, Canada, Australia, and Western Europe, and later exported to Japan and other parts of Asia, Israel, parts of South America, and then Eastern Europe, means:
Democracy
Separation of church and state (and thus freedom of religion)
Capitalism/Free Enterprise
Freedom of speech
Freedom of career
A justice system providing fair trials for all
It has nothing to do with being part of a race or part of a religion.
Other cultures try to emulate ours.
Thus, belief that a culture can be superior to others is "common sense"

Nativism is not unique to America. In what civilized country to citizens NOT get treated better than non-citizens?! Your bias is showing. Anyone who honestly believes (not just wishes) that all cultures are equal is brainless. If our culture was not superior, all those people wouldn't be trying to get in. People don't immigrate illegally to Chad by the millions, & there are good reasons. Read the book below before you finish this paper or whatever you're doing. Please, please, please!
