Does anyone know this movie?

A guy (sorta looked like Ben Afleck, coulda been) was talking with this other guy, and he had a gun. So this one guy says to him something with the effect of, "put down the gun, lets fight mano y mano." and then the guy puts down the gun, and the ben afleck guy pulls out his own gun and shoots him, remarking on how stupi a thing that was, or something like that. I cant remember the name of the movie, just that I loved that part, it was hilarious.

I believe that was The Adventures of Ford Fairlane with andrew "dice" clay, the guy he says it to is the same guy who plays freddy kreuger in the nightmare on elm street movies, robert englund
