Problems with networking my network connection?

I bought a new video card and set it up but when i was done my internet adapter wasn't there anymore and now i can only use my local internet connection through a USB cord in my modem, and i would like to use my ethernet cord i think it is faster when i play my games online,

I think you are basically saying that your Ethernet Card on your PC is no longer working?
First I would check in the Windows Control Panel (assuming you are using windows) to see if my network card is installed and working properly.
You can get this if you go to the Start Menu->Control Panels->Choose Systems->Hardware Tab->Device Manager and click on the Network Icon. If there is a problem with your network card, you will see it here (an exclamation point will appear next to an icon with the name of your ethernet card, indicating there is a problem).
And if there is a problem, I would try reinstalling the driver that came with the card.
