CHELIOS HAS IT ALL, SLOW, STUPID, CAN'T FIGHT, BIG SALARY. WHY SHOULD HE QUIT?? HE JUST HELPED THE HABS WIN A CUP IN 1986 !!!! HIS LAST GOOD YEAR.

A recent interview with Ken Holland said he will continue signing Chelios to 1 year contracts till hes 50, and if Chris feels like he can still play at 51, he will sign him some more. A lot of people say hes too old, but the guy takes up such a small amount of cap space that Detoit cant afford to not sign him. Your not going to find a better d-man for the price. He says hes not even thinking of retiring, so unless he takes a major injury, expect to see him in the winged wheel for quite a few more years.

Chelios has always said he wants to play to 50, and I don't see him slowing down yet. Expect a couple more years from him, at least.

i don't know why everybody makes a big deal out of his age.the man is in better shape than anybody who mentions his age.how many other men do you see at his age still play on the special team.as far as the salary goes he doesn't need the money(he is rich in his own right)he just loves the game.he probally practices harder than anyone out there.he is still a hard hitter and keeps up with guys half his age.anyone who says he is past his prime has not watched the man play.sure he makes mistakes but so does everyone on the ice at one time or another.
