i have windows 98. i can't afford a new computer or even software i'm broke. and i tried downloading a old virsion of itunes but that did work either. is there a different way maybe of getting my songs onto my ipod?? or am i just crazy to ask that. HELP!!! please?

Hi Lilly,

You CAN get your songs onto your iPod with windows 98 (providing you're using second edition).

You need Winamp. If you don't have winamp, I suggest getting it. It's a great audio/video player. You can download it @ http://www.winamp.com . It has support to be able to allow you to transfer music to your iPod. Once you have winamp installed, go to media library, and with your ipod connected to the computer, you should see it in the "portables" section. You do not need iTunes :)

iTunes doesn't download to Windows 98 and basically EVERY music service has to (some way) go throught iTunes to go onto your iPod. I'm sorry! Wish I could help more!
