But here, you're not allowed to say how much I hate the Rangers or how we beat a certain team on a particular date. I want all of you Devils fans say one positive thing about the Devils other then we win games.

Yeah I'm a Rangers fan, and I'm expecting a lot of Devils Suck answers, I just want to see why you all like this team. But this is a serious question, I want to see some positive input on the Devils because it seems all of you keep saying oh we win games, and it seems as if thats the only comeback you can think of.

Devils suck... Cashese knows what he is talking about... and its also interesting how there are bad calls and missed calls against the rangers in every game! its not just one or two games... it happens in every game... And the devils... their style of play makes me gag

I've been a Devil's fan going back to the days of John MacLean, Tom Kurvers, Pat Verbeek.. OH yeah.. a guy you know very well Brendan Shanahan..( I can still hear Gary Thorne - calling his name) IT has nothing to do with they win all the time. it's the grit and hard play. I've said it in other answers about them.
It's the Tenacity. Seeing them game in and game out battling all odds put to them is amazing.
The Hurricanes taught the the Devils a valuable lesson.. ONE they will NOT soon forget.. that shows their maturity. They won a cup after being humiliated by Colorado.. they made people forget that one REAL quickly.
That's what draws them to their fans.
THe fans know what kind of product they will get year in and year out.
Look at how drastic the rosters have changed over those years.. and they still WIN.. THAT'S what Devils Hockey is.

The Devils have one of the best goalies EVER in the NHL. Brodeur will more than likely break Terry Sawchuk's record for the most shut outs ever in the NHL. For years hockey experts were saying this record would never be broken. They were still saying it a few years ago when Patrick Roy was still playing. They are not saying it now. Brodeur is only 12 shutouts away from tying the record.(He has 11 shutouts this season alone.) They have one of the most intelligent general managers the game has ever seen. They have two excellent players in Brian Rafalski and John Madden.

Other than winning consistently and being a threat to win the Cup each year for the past decade-plus, here's my Devils story ...
Brian Gionta was great when he brought the Stanley Cup to Rochester, NY, a few years back. He brought it around town with a smile on his face the whole time. And when it was our turn to meet him and see the Cup up close, he was very polite, signed an autograph for my then 2-year-old and then posed with the Cup. Imagine doing that for 8 hours straight and still greeting everyone with a smile.
Brian Gionta did. He's a class guy. The Devils are a class organizaton.

We don't have a lot of fans, but that means that those of us who are fans are all pretty hradcore about it. =)
And we're not wildly popular, but that's okay. The Backstreet Boys were popular. Britney Spears was wildly popular. Some bad movies are wildly popular. Not necesarily a compliment to be wildly popular.

we have the best goalie in the league...we have future star zach parise...we have the best defense in the league....we have cam janssen to try to deck people and miss but sometimes hit them....shall i countinue?
