We see many romantic movies in which the notion of romance is glorified, magnified and fed to the viewers. But does "romance" actually exist? What forms does it take? Is it a contrived and temporary action like lighting candles and putting on soft music? Is it a state of mind? A feeling? Does it exist?

The question is what is romance?
One answer could be: an extravagant love affair.
The other question is can it exist for you?
Yes. All you need do is to become a beautiful soul.
A beautiful soul transcends our physical bodies and shines through our eyes. A person in possession of such qualities cannot fail to attract and inspire another such.

If someone puts their love above their ego, or arrogance, I don't see how it won't exist. The declaration of love is as beautiful as the love itself. It's love in action. But I know what you're saying. It seems to be becoming increasingly rare, or disingenuous, or judiciously temporary.

It definitely exists. Sorry if you are yet to experience it. Romance doesn't always come easily or when we want. And I think people who find romance so easy often don't put much value on it. It is special.

You learned that:
romance = (flowers + candles) * (direction of photography + music)
Is that right?

(Try muting the soundtrack, don't light the candles, etc, and watch out for the romance).

It exists if you believe it exists.
