me and my friend were thinking of making up a new religion, and making a bible and everything, although it wont be called the bible it will be the ible i think. Is this too much? would it offend your religion if we went public with this after a while? it would include parts of all or most of the religions. i would like to know your opinion would it hurt your religion?

Dear smart 1, I think you should do somthing more useful with your life. If you spend all your time with that then you wouldn't be able to do anything else. Sure I think its a good idea but try this: When you get home from school or work then work for about an hour on it. Then tell your freind you have to go home. Do what you want there and then when you have free time go on your computer make some new ideas and email it to your freind. Your answer: no it wouldnt hurt my religion. PEACE OUT!!!

Religions suck! All of them do.Religion teaches nothing but guilt and shame. If you really want to find God then you only need to look inside yourself. When I close my eyes and relax I can feel God.It's hard to put into words but God is speaking to us all but we aren't listening.I don't believe that it's our mouths that communicate with God but rather our feelings.Try closing your eyes and dismiss all thoughts and feel the connection. The only thing that religion does is teaches everyone to blame each other.Trust me.Dropping money in a basket every Sunday will not buy you a place in heaven. It will make the preacher very wealthy and nothing more.

look you dont have to make up a religion just because you believe in different things then your actual religion believes in. but if you think that making a new religion would help theni thnk that you should do it. its not like its going to spread over the world or over a state in a day because people were brought up in a certian religion and there not going to change and they probably exspect to raise there kids in that same religion so i dont think that it is going to spread really. and maybe you should think of another name for your bible because no affence but nameing it "ible" sounds kinda stupid. Bu if you decid to make up a religion it wouldnt hurt my religion. if you want to do it then go for it oyu shouldnt base it on what other people say.

Already been done. It's called a Course in Miracles.

and no... you wouldn't offend me. God and I don't believe in organized religion. We gave it up for Lent one year and just haven't gotten around to telling the rest of you formally yet.

Sorry. We will get right on that next time we meet up.

Go ahead, this should be awesome! I'm a Wiccan, and I wouldn't be offended at all. Everyone can believe in what they want too. I would suggest though, that it's something you really believe in, not just something you threw together.

Since there's no spiritually involved, you should just call your religion "The Evil Vibration" and your book the "Anti-Bible"!

i wonder what you mean by "going public". are you going to hold a big news conference? are you going to start a massive advertising campaign? are you going to start buying up super-bowl commercial spots?????

save your money, friend.
new religions are nothing new, especially the type you describe.

"there is nothing new under the sun"
- the bible

god bless

Don't do it. You and your dad have the right to believe whatever you want to believe but don't try to make a bible-like manual or push your beliefs on other people. They will think you're crazy.
