I never gave it much thought until a friend asked me. And now I'm wondering the same thing. Any reliable links/sources to your answers would be great.

There all yellowish colored around here. But it is probably a visibility issue. Our have strobe type lights on the roof so you notice them.

They don't. At least now where I live. They are yellow, like the rest of the bus. Must be a local thing.

I don't know why they decided to put the white roofs there, but it does symbolize what kind of bus it is.

It's to make the bus cooler. If it was dark colored, the heat would come inside the bus.

my busses have white tops also and i have wondered the same thing....im not to sure why tho

They are all orangey yellow even on top around here.
