Anyone know a cure for an earache?
I searched online but do not want to trust people who say it works, though i have never tryed it...
So anyone? I heard a few different types of oil dropped in the ear (Ex. olive oil, garlic oil, etc.) and many others including shoving a clove of garlic in your ear and dropping warm urine (NASTY SOUNDING) in your ear...
HELP!?!?!?

Since you currently have an earache, you should see an ear, nose, and throat specialist. you might have an infection, which could lead to damage to your eardrum. I know this because I got ear infections a lot as a child, and caused permanent damage to my ears. see a good doctor, and in the meantime, you should once in a great while saturate a cotton ball with peroxide and lay on one side and squeeze the peroxide into your ear. let it bubble for a few minutes and then press a towel to that ear and turn to the other side, practicing the same steps on your other ear. it will tickle, and itch, but is supposed to. After you are done letting the other ear drain, gently swab with a q-tip.

Some reasons for your earache could be from loud music or noise, a small bug (yes, a gnat or something of that nature...) is lodged in your ear, a buildup of earwax, or that you have an infection and need antibiotics.

Hope this helps!

Think about why you may be having the earache. If you are suffering from excessive drainage and/or blocked sinuses and have a lot of pressure built up you could end up with a ruptured ear drum. Oils will only temporary relieve some discomfort and won't really take the pain away. You may need to have your ear irrigated. Sounds gross, but very effective and it's instant relief. If it's caused by teeth/jaw issues that's something else. Go see your doc.

This combination works almost every time: Colloidal silver, garlic, tea tree oil, olive oil and apple cider vinegar. Mix together three drops of tea tree oil with two tablespoons of olive oil, a half teaspoon of garlic juice from freshly pressed garlic cloves (or you could drain the juice from a jar of minced/crushed garlic), a teaspoon of colloidal silver and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Warm slightly and then lie on your side with your head on a towel (or paper towels) with the infected or aching ear facing up. Use an eyedropper to draw up the mixture and then slowly fill your ear to near the top. Continue to lie on your side for several minutes and the take the towel and hold it to your ear and lie on your other side and let the mixture drain out of your ear onto the towel or paper towels. Repeat two to four times daily. You should experience immediate relief and complete resolution within 24-48 hours. Note: If you do not have all of the ingredients, any combination will probably work. Also, oil of oregano can be substituted for the tea tree oil. Note: If the pain has lingered for very long and your brother feels the pain and pressure becoming unbearable, he should seek professional medical help. An ear infection which is allowed to linger for too long could result in further injury, including rupturing the ear drum.

Some earache remedy is coming from garlic mix with olive oil, but I prepare to use coconut oil rather than olive oil. Because coconut oil has the anti-bacterial solution in itself.

Call it an old wives tale but my monther use to blow smoke from her cigarette in my ear when I had an earache. I've also done it with my children and grandchildren when they complained of an earache and it always seems to work.

I don't know why, but it did.

Drop warm, not hot mineral oil into ear canal. Also, if you have access to a blowdryer, hold it out from you ear, so the air flow isn't really strong, but it gets in there a little. The warm air will help it. I've also layed with my head on a hot water bottle. Obviously, the point is heat!

Feel better!

Vinegar!! This really works and was recommended to me by a physician. If your ear is inflamed the acetic acid destroys the conditions of growth of the bacteria and it is quite fast acting. You may dilute the vinegar.
However, it you have a full blown earache you had better see a doctor.

warmed canned milk but you can use a hair dryer low setting to help ease it a bit then put in the warmed canned milk in with a dropper and cover with cotton ball. Earaches are no fun. Good luck honey. do not put urine in your ear.

I would not suggest doing the oil, urine or garlic in your ear. You can wrap a heating pad w/ a towel and lie w/ the ear that is bothering you on the heat source. That is just a temporary solution. I suggest you check w/ your physician. Drops can be prescribed for your ears.

If your ear is hurting due to a cold or congestion, take an over the counter antihisimene(sp?) to help dry out your sinuses. That will help your ears drain as well.
