Time would still go on even if the Earth stopped since time can't be stopped. The only thing that would stop would be the sunlight if your country was in nighttime and countries that are in daytime would have continuous sunlight.

Absolutely NOT! The earth makes one full rotation on its axis in approximately 24 hours. That's where you get "earth time" . However at the same time as the earth is spinning on its axis, the planet is moving in it's orbit around the sun, meanwhile the entire solar system is moving within the Milky Way Galaxy, and the MW Galaxy is moving toward the Andromeda Galaxy through space. (At hundreds of thousands of miles per second!)

Although a great number of things would happen if the Earth stopped rotating on its axis (most of them bad for us), the stopping of the passage of time would NOT be one of them. It’s an interesting question though, as relative motion through 3 dimensional space is often correlated to the perceived passage of time. Look into Albert Einstein's theories of special relativity and general relativity. Don’t worry if they’re confusing at first. It takes some time to grasp.

as far as we know, Earth is the only place in the universe where time is a factor. Time would still go on, according to how we measure it. But think about it: when we look up into the night sky we are seeing things that happened hundreds, thousands, millions, and billions of years ago, not what's happening now. That's how long it takes the light from those stars and galaxies to get to us. Time is relative to where you are standing in the universe. It's trippy. Read some into Albert Einstein's work.

Contrary to popular belief time does not stop w/ the rotation of the earth, if you stopped the earth from spinning then one side would be in complete darkness while the other was bathed in light
