Disney World has 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, a sports complex, Downtown Disney, miniature golf, full size golf courses,
and so much more.

Universal has 2 parks, and City Walk (which is stores and clubs, etc.

I find Universal & Disney to both be a lot of fun. Many people say Univesal has more "thrill rides" , but I really didn't see it. They have some, and the HULK rollercoaster is pretty amazing, but other than that, there were no rides that were any more "thrilling" than the Disney Rides.

I prefer Disney, but Univesal has some good stuff too. Here is how some compare...

Universal's Back to the Future ride is similar to Disney's Star Tours

Univesal's got a couple of water rides, Disney has Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom and Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom.

Disney characters walk around the parks posing for pictures. In Universal you have people portraying characters too. "Doc" from Back to the Future, Marilyn Monroe, Spiderman, and the X-men, And characters from Dr. Seuss books.

I think Disney has more variety, but if the teens are more into superheroes than pirates & princesses, you should choose Universal.

Go to a local bookstore (or your local library) and check out some guide books to both. Then you can decide.

I honestly think Disney is the way to go. There is so much more to do at the Disney resort, and it is for everyone from toddlers to adults, you can't go wrong. Every time we go my kids and I find something new that we didn't see the last time, or that we ran out of time for. We are going again in April, and I am not sure who is more pumped to go, me or them. Universal Studios will have a few more thrill rides, but you can only go on so many thrill rides on a vacation. Disney has better shows, attractions, and an overall better product. Even my son, who is WAY into superheroes, got bored with Islands of Adventure, and asked when we were going back to Disney.

There are tons of guide books out there. I would suggest going to the bookstore and picking up the Birnbaums' Guide to Disney. We have found that one to work the best for us. Also, go to each website and pick out the attractions you want to see. I am sure that you will pick Disney over Universal.

Have a great trip!!

It depends which parks you are looking at and what the teenagers like. For the most part, more teenagers prefer thrill rides, but some also like easy going rides.

Islands of Adventure has a lot of thrill rides, and in general both Universal parks are going to have better rollar coasters. Even Disney's thrill rides aren't all that "thrilling" they are fun, but definitely nothing like Hulk or something like that.

That being said, Disney has a ton of rides that are great for both the thrill seeker and the easy going person. That is what is great about Disney, there is quite a few options for anyone. But again, the rides are not all that thrilling.

Both my sister (a teenager) and myself (adult) loved the Disney parks, just because so much was offered. My sister was definitely a thrill seeker and loved coasters (she never found one that was too scary for her or that she couldn't ride again and again) and she still preferred Disney. I personally could go either way and prefer Disney.

I think they both offer great parks, so it just depends what will offer the most for your family and which appeals the most. If you will be in the area for a while, you could always visit both.

Universal!! I went to both as a teenager with my family. My dad and I both had a better time at Universal. Make sure you stay at one of the hotels on Universal grounds. You get front of the line access to rides just by showing your room key. That's part of what made our trip so fun - waiting 15 minutes for rides when others were waiting 1-2 hours!

We stayed at the Portofino Bay and it was fabulous! The Hard Rock also looks like a lot of fun.

I personally LOVE Disney World but my niece and nephew I took with me last year had a lot more fun at Universal and they are both teenagers. Regardless whichever one you pick you and your family will have a blast!

alright to be uncomplicated 5 days at disney is a techniques extra ideal then time-honored. Disney is freakin extensive. We did do time-honored island of adventure and time-honored studios in one day and lined approximately each little thing, went the 2d day and did each little thing two times and located ourselves bored. We went there in Jan aswell so no crowds. earlier we went to disney for 5 days and slightly lined each little thing. i'm no longer saying Univeral sucks yet disney is that somewhat extra ideal for the two previous and youthful. desire you have a solid time the place ever you will flow.
