There's no rule against it, but I don't think there's ever been a female coach at any high level of competitive men's hockey. Even most coaches of women's teams are men.

Its not prohibited, but chances are it will not happen in the near future because of the fact professional male hockey players wont take a female coach seriously.

Yes, just like they are allowed to coach in the NBA, NFL, & MLB. First you need to find one that is qualified and wants to coach.

I play hockey, and there are female officials in lower level leagues. But the is no written rule in the official NHL rulebook, but I guess it's one of those "unspoken" rules.

I would imagine that they would. It probably isn't a very popular career path for most women, however. Women do coach the women's national hockey teams.
