First of all, we like to fight just for the hell of it. We build huge armies to go shoot at each other, navies to sink each other, and now we even have bombs that can whack entire cities.
And we all firmly believe that our side, our religion, our particular view of things in general, is the one and only way and anybody who disagrees can just go right ahead and fly a kite.
Oh, yes, and we actually want to fall in love...

That, and waste life. We're one of the only species that recognizes our time here is limited...we should be making the most out of it.
So...we shouldn't waste our lives caring about Paris Hilton.
