I like the new Kobe, because he is getting his teammates involved such as Smush Parker, but I think Kobe needs to stop sticking to that all game, yesterday he only had 4 points at half time. Sometimes Kobe needs to be the OLD Kobe though. I personally, like the games that Kobe takes over and scores 40-50 points and sometimes 60.

Kind of both, The old Kobe is a winner and keep scoring and scoring, the new kobe pass and pass, but Kobe always take the game over in the 4th quarter, thats what caused them to lose 6 in a row.
The game against Portland yesterday, at halftime he had 4 points 5 assists.
At the start of the 4th, he has around 10 points and still 5 assists.
at the end of the game, he has 25 points and 6 assists.
He gets frustrated that his teammates are not hitting those open shots he is passing them to, and " takes matter in his own hands"
and those who says he is a rapist. WTF is ur prob?

I like the new "pass-first" Kobe more than last year's "81-point" Kobe since he's actually involving his teammates much more. The only problem with Kobe's new mindset is that sometimes, he tries too hard to stick with that same gameplan of involving his teammates more for the first three quarters, and then completely taking over in the fourth that teams are beginning to pick up on this strategy. Notice in the fourth quarter of the games of late, double teams are thrown at Kobe way more commonly, forcing Kobe to pass it out before he can even get in rhythm. Kobe needs to keep himself involved in the offense at a more healthy rate rather than being completely submissive in the first three quarters. This would keep the opposing team on their toes throughout the whole game, rather than waiting for the fourth in anticipation of Kobe's next flurry of fadeaways. If he could find that balance of being able to involve his teammates while keeping himself involved for a full 48 minutes, then this "new" Kobe is the one that's going to bring Staples Center another championship banner.
Oh, and commenting on the "old" Kobe - I don't see anybody else in the league being able to get anywhere near 81 points like he did. The old Kobe was just fun to watch, but his team didn't have the triangle-training that a Phil Jackson team needs to succeed. He scored out of necessity. Simply put, his team was still learning while Kobe carried them. With a Lakers squad with a year of triangle experience and a new team-oriented Kobe, the Lakers could do some damage this year in the playoffs if it weren't for the injuries.

I too have been a laker fan since Van Excel and before. Kobe sometimes takes impossibly hard shots, but amazingly he makes a good percentage of them. I like the new Kobe but I still wish he would concentrate more on taking higher percentage shots.

Neither he should be averaging around 32ppg and taking 22-24 shots per game and getting 5 assists. He either shoots too much or not enough. Personally I think he some part of him is being stubborn. But half of the blame belongs to Llamar Odom who does not shoot enough!
