Probably.
Their mom gave them birth and that's how it all started.
If it wasn't for the mom, the person wouldn't have been created.
Now leaving the world.... yea.
You could say that.

Hi Alexis,
That is actually a very interesting question. Someone answered and told you that we don't think when we die. Theoretically that person really has no idea what happens when we die as no one has actually done it and come back to tell about what happens. I am not talking about near death experiences, I am talking about actually dying. I am a hospice nurse and manage a hospice in MS. I can tell you that I have personally attended in my career in excess of 300 deaths. People do and express many things in their dying moments. Some are actually lucid and able to verbalize what they are seeing and feeling right up to the point of death. They are not all on narcotics either as not all dying people are in pain. The number one response I get when a person can still talk and I ask them, for instance, what are you looking at(some will stare up toward the ceiling) is "I am looking into the garden" When I ask them what they see they will describe a beautiful garden, a bright light and their relatives gathering to meet them. They usually say "I see my Grandmother, and my Mama and Daddy." If they have siblings that have passed away before them they will sometimes say that they see them. So, I don't know if the first thing they think of or see is their mom but I will tell you it seems to be family. I hope that is so because I can't wait to see my Mom again.

During world war II the American Soldiers noticed that just before a japanese soldier died he yelled out "mom".
I personally feel that a person does indeed think of his mom b4 he kicks the bucket.

Do you mean a person whose Mom is still alive? Well, she doesn't have to just think of her, she can visit her. If you mean a person whose Mom already died? She won't have to think then either because she'll be right with her.

Yes. There are plenty of anicdotes of soldiers dying on the battlefield calling for their mothers. It's a very sad thing. Probably a core feeling stemming from childhood, held deep inside most of us is that our mothers will always come and help us when we call out in need.

If their mother died during child birth, the person wouldn't really have any memory of her. There are lots of variables in this situation, but under good conditions and setting, I would say yes.

Often they probably do. We had an elderly relative whose mother had died when she was a child, and when she was very very ill, and the end was near, she cried and called out for her mother. She was not mentally failing, either. It was a call for help and comfort that few people in life can offer you.... Doctors aren't as good as Mother.

I believe they think of someone they love the most. In my case it will be either my Mom or my daughter. I hope both.

No there is no conciousness when you die. When they are resurrected back to life then they can think and feel again. When Lazarus was resurrected by Jesus he never talked about being able to think or being in a different place other than being dead.
