Autumn, why not take it as a sign from God. But notice what He's pointing out to you: the intensely coloured things are not piles of vividly shining gold, a fleet of scintillatingly flashy cars, row upon row of mansion made of solid light, or hunks with the reddest red hair or the most electrically blue eyes you've ever seen. What He pointed out to you was butterflies, flowers, grass, and raindrops. I don't know what your priorities in life've hitherto been, whether you've been intensely ambition to 'succeed' in a career, or find the great love of you life, or be wildly rich - carrying on aiming at these, if you're so inspired. The dream, though, seems to be suggesting if you REALLY want to be happy you should be concentrating on precisely those things everyone takes for granted and ultimately tosses aside as worthless, the ordinary little gifts of life that Tibetan Buddhists, for instance, refer to as Natural Goodness: the sensation of warm sunlight on your skin, of cool rain running down your face, of the breeze playfully ruffling and tossing your hair about, all of them ultimately God himself caressing you, even as you breathe Him in in the form of air saturated with plant fragrances as you sit in the middle of a park that only exists because He wills it to.
