The smaller angle is: 68
The larger angle is: 112

112+68=180

112/2=56
56+12=68

This is how i would do the problem:
First, let the angle = x
smaller angle = x/2 + 12
You know that supplementary angles = 180. So make the equation x + x/2 +12 = 180. In order to get rid of the 2, multiply everything by two..... 2x + x + 24 = 360. Simplify again and you should get 3x = 336 and x would = 112. So, the first angle is 112 degrees and the second is 112/2 +12 which = 68. Hope this helps.

Answer: Angle#1= 68 and Angle#2=112

A pair of angles that are supplementary equals 180 degrees. The smaller angle will be assigned the variable of "x" and the larger angle will be assigned the variable of "y".

x+y = 180
x = 12 + 0.5y
12 + 0.5y + y = 180
12 + 1.5y = 180
1.5y=180-12
1.5y=168
y = 168 / 1.5 = 112
x = 12 + 0.5(112) = 68

I hope I'm right.
