Only a couplet? you could write a longer poem about orthoclase. Are you trying for poetic imagery or a learning rhyme? Is this for a geology class or Poetry class?
Around here orthoclase is usually found as pink feldspar in our granite.
Born of heat and fire throughout the planet
Now you are mainly found in pink granite
or
Twinned crystals of pearly luster can't wait
to leave a white streak on my porcelain plate
or
With twin crystals this pearly hued rock
Is first sample in collection box
If this is for geology class, might include hardness 6 on MOHS scale, monoclinic crystals, igneous formation etc.
