It was noted to me in high school that the overall shape of our solar system very much resembles the structure of an atom. Taking this information, one could(at an almost incomprehensible level) speed up the motion of the solar system to the point where we can picture it moving as an atom does on Earth and at the same time "zoom out" of this proposed atom to view it as a part of a larger organism. This organism could possibly be "god". Time is basically relative here, so the fact that God always was and always is only seems that way because its so long of a time it is incomprehensible to us humans. Again, this is why we cannot understand God. So just as we are made up of cosmic dust and atoms, god is made of us(the cosmic dust) and atoms(the solar system). I know this is tough to fit into a little paragraph and obviously there is much more to it, but has anyone heard of a name for this belief or possibly a religion that believes this?

That's an interesting theory I've never heard of before so I doubt if it has a name. But it breaks down on atoms being like the solar system. Unlike the solar system which has a sun in the middle, atoms are composed of protons and neutrons in the nucleus which are made of even smaller things called quarks. And the electrons orbiting the atomic nucleus are not like planets. Electrons are more like clouds of charged particles than actual objects like the planets. The image of atoms being like the solar system is just an partial picture to give people an analogy of what atoms are like. Its not meant to be an exact picture.

That is a very old idea, but today we know that the atom is very different from a small solar system. Electrons do not "orbit" the nucleus, they have probability functions that would look like strange shaped clouds around the nucleus if we could see them. And of course gravity plays no part in keeping the atom together; electromagnetic and nuclear forces do that.

> very much resembles the structure of an atom.
That was a very long time ago, and we know better now. An atom doesn't resemble the solar system. Our planet orbits aren't "quantified." Electrons don't orbit in ellipses. Electrons are paired in orbitals; planets aren't.

Solar systems don't bond together to form molecules.

Its been around a long time (since about the 1960's) and was very popular with the young people at the time looking for some meaning and connection with God while rejecting traditional religion.
It was a lot of fun, good for some very heavy conversations made more enjoyable with the infusion of herbal smoke of different kinds.
It doesn't hold water for a lot of reasons, but people continue to search for meaning and a connection with the Creator.

This was tinkered with briefly, mostly by stoned college kids back in the day. But even the philosophers and zealots gave up on this one.
