I don't think that all of these bands are emo, but they're the ones that always get put under the emo genre.

Seriously, Bella Mars has it right. I suggest e-mailing her and seeing what she's got to say. She'll probably mention bands like Texas is the Reason, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Promise Ring, Braid, Hum (kinda) Jawbreaker (kinda) and Lifetime (kinda). There's a bunch more, but that's the gist of "real" emo bands.

AFI and Cradle of Filth aren't emo, none of these bands are. Emo is not short for emotional, its a genre of music that has died out in the 90s. you want REAL emo bands....email me.

kermit,miss piggy,fozzy bear and grover are all members of elmo or now his new name "emo". Its a soft rock band....mostly cotton/polyester blend.
