Because I played it in 5th grade the clarinet in 6th grade and I skipped this year but I want to play the flute from 8th grade through highschool. So if you know please let me know.

Since you started out on clarinet, my advice would be to visit a local music store and find out about renting one until you've finalized your instrument choice; renting is almost always an option no matter where you live. Student model instruments are everywhere and there is no benefit to buying new for you, only the music store. Renting allows you to try it before spending money on something you might not stick with. If you play it for 2-3 years or are really enjoying it, invest in a model better than student and you will be much happier.

well, if there's a victor's house of music by you, you can rent one. i'm not sure of the price, but it's pretty inexpensive. and it's not a used flute, and when you've payed off the full price, you own it.

generally they are not that expenseve.. a local pawn shop would have one for 2-300.00 but if you are looking for a good company.. then try this web sitehttp://www.portmansmusic.com/index.php?main_page=infopages&pages_id=44.. i have used portman's music for years and love them.... aslo try craigslist.. there are a ton of people looking to "unload" their kids instruments that have otherwise decited to not play an instrument...good luck

Yamaha 211(I have one)is 700 euros.I think.And if you want to rent it,it would be cheaper,but how much,I don`t know...
