Whos better, Rio Ferdinand Or Marquez? What about rooney vs Messi?

Ferdinad is far better, Rooney is powerful Messi is delicate but both outstanding. I'd have to pick Rooney

Marquez has more technique but I'd rather have a big defender like Rio on my team. He is stronger on the ball and better in the air. If I where Barcelona's coach I'd move Rafa Marques to defensive midfield of something.
Rooney is, at the moment, much better than Messi.
No comparison! Messi is still very imature as a player. Maybe he will become better than Rooney eventually. But right now Rooney is probably one of the top three forwards in the world.
I think he is just as genius as Messi in a not as fancy way. He is a lot more practical and not as selfish.

I think Rio is better because he is much more consistent than Marquez the thing I dont like about Marquez is that he gets alot of red cards and he makes stupid decisions sometimes. I would prefer Messi over Rooney because I see more potential in Messi at a younger age than what I see of Rooney.

Ferdinand is the best defender in the world for Rooney he has lost his form so it will be a close call between he and Messi

I prefer Rafa, he can play several positions, is good on set plays, and he is a good header. I hope that rafa continues to grow as a player at barca, and that he can lead mexico past the second round in 2010. I like Rooney and Messi. But i don't like roony's temper, he need's to get it in check. Messi is great and will hopefully continue to develop. But he doesn't need the added baggage of having to live up to Maradona, no can or should have to do!!

I would prefer marquez... personal but i like more his style he has more ideas and can play as a middle...and rooney messi I could never choose, cause messi is pure talent, drible speed...MAGIC, but rooney is so explosive, also fast and has a natural talent for scoring goals

i would perfer marquez because not only is he a solid defensive player but he is also a good goal scorer. Ex. world cup Mexico vs. Argentina. Then i would chose Messi, he will be one of the best players in up coming years along with Gio dos santos.

i Think marquez is a more solid defender, but it think Ferdinand is a more complete player.
Messi is essentially a winger and Rooney a second striker, however they are similar types of players and i think that there isn't much between them
