And don't give me a load of garbage about it being a mean question... I weigh 488 pounds so you don't need to preach to me about it being mean...

Truthfully, yes. I probably have less respect for an overweight person, and I'm sure it shows.

Well, I don't weigh 488 pds, but I am big, but even when I was small I did not treat them any different. Some of my bests friends in school were large people. I think it is a personality that counts here as the old saying goes. I know small people who I cannot stand because the are arrogant, but at the same time, I know rather large people who are the same way. Many of my friends are both small and large and I treat them the same.

I don't think your question is mean, I think you are coming from the other end where you are wishing people would stop sterotyping. Sometimes I find myself sterotyping and I have to slap my on hand. One of my biggest sterotyping was people with tattoos and peircings, but now I have many friends with them and I have learned that this just does not matter. Maybe they don't like my eighties look to much either lol.

I don't treat obese people differently .
I have always been the odd-one-out and a loner, but not because of my physical appearance (I'm 5'10" and 120 pounds) ,but because I like rock and roll, am obbssessed with the 80s and dress in my own style....either really sexy...or REALLY 80s.
Anyways, because people treated me like they did, my self-esteem was low and I hung out with the other loners in my school....video game wizzes, Star Trekkies, Star wars fan, and those that are obese.
They became my closest friends.
And now, my husband isn't obese, but is overweight at just under 300 pounds (5'10" tall).
I think the obese should be treated like real people, but not the nasty under-weight (95F pound) girls and guys out there...ICK.THEY are the ones that needed therapy !!!

Why are you assuming there are no cute fat people? Jared from Subway? Way cuter when he was fat. That's not saying much but it says something.

I don't think I treat obese people worse though. My sister's obese and I adore her more than anyone else on the planet so... I don't think so. And most skinny attractive people I know think they're *all that* and annoy the hell out of me so I tend to get really pissy when they're around.

I would never treat someone "worse" than anyone else. But I do feel that obese people have a form of lack of self control. This lack of self control does make me think less of them compared to someone who has more self control. "Less" meaning that they are not a very strong willed person and I personally don't find that attractive in a person.

To be honest, first impression is gonna be about your weight, but that won't stop me from getting to know the person. It don't matter what you look like, Personality out weighs everything else. I'm just being honest.

No, size to me does not matter, Im big boned too. and i intend to ignore the people who tells me I'm fat, at least I know I'm heathly. I treat people like i would like to be treated, it does not matter if they are obese or thin, we are all the same. and should be treated with the respect that we all deserve.

It depends. If they are fat because of some kind of health condition that they have no control over than no.

If they are fat because they are lazy people who sit on their *** and eat junk food instead of getting to the gym to work out, which is what they should do, then yes.

For instance, there is this really fat couple at my school, both of them way over 400 pounds, alone. They walk in to wendy's when my friend is working and order 10 full combo meals and some extra food, like htey aren't fat enough. I have no reason to show any respect to them.

absolutely not, they are people too why should they be treated any differently just because of how they look, besides half the people in my town are morbidly obese and that is too many people to treat like garbage
