I HATE HIP HOP/RAP. Its 100% pure ****. Espeically 50cent. One of my black friends told me you cannot like reggae if you hate rap. I dont believe this at all. I think this is one of the many stupid comments made by him. This guy believe theres no black people in South America

I feel the same as you. Most reggae is positive and joyful, and most rap is negative and hateful. Reggae takes talent, whereas everyone including K-Fed raps. Reggae makes me smile; rap makes me frown.

Hate's a strong word...I grew up listening to RAP it then progressed into Hip Hop and as it commercialized...I started disliking that genre. I also grew up to reggae, as time progressed I have become more engrossed in the different genres of reggae and have found them for the most part very appealling. The difference I believe is in the commercialization, the artists I tend to gravitate to are the ones that aren't the great big commercial successes...or the ones that stay true to their original vision and avoid the pitfalls of commercialization.
Truth be told...I listen to every form of reggae and zone out whenever Hip Hop and R&B are played...in other words I agree with your sentiment!!!
