It used to burn on both but now it wont...Do I need to download another program so that it can do both again PLEASE HELP Me....

it is not the hardware because it used to work so it has to do with something in nero i guess

Yeah, me too. I am not sure on the technical know-how for this subject, but my Sony Dvd burner using a "borrowed" copy of Nero won't burn dvd-r but works great with +r. I am using memorex discs... and another thing, when the -r's burn, they pass the initial burn, it's only when nero validates the burned data that's when it gets rejected. So, in short, I feel your pain! But seriously, just switch to +r's (they're $15 for 50 this week at Target - I picked up 2 packs) and save yourself the headache.

Its the DVD drive, not the software, some drives support -R, some +R, some support both

I have nero and burn with all formats

its the drive not software. Drives aer designed for dvd+, dvd-, or dvd+ and -. i would suspect that you have a dvd+ drive.
