They will tear each other to pieces to get the nom and then "make nice" and blame KARL ROVE!

Hillary will have to get nasty to get Obama out of her way and he doesn't have much political experience to draw from...she has to get personal in her attacks on him...I don't know what the recovery will be from that.

I'll bet she is just hoping he drops dead sometime soon. Like all the other people in the Clinton's way in the past have.

It will blow over. As far as the "imploding" I think that's perhaps your fervent hope as a "diehard" Republican, but let's be frank--how could their little spat over David Geffen's comments and a tiny campaign contribution equal the catastrophe in Iraq, the scandals involving Tom DeLay, Scooter Libby, Abramoff, Foley, Rumsfeld's resignation, etc......?

I know it's exciting to see something negative going on with two candidates from the opposing party, but let's put it into perspective, shall we?

And how could ANYONE at this point be a "diehard" Republican?

do any Republicans actually keep up with poltiics and understand how the system works?

it will be no more heated than the McCain/Bush primaries in 2000, if not less heated... and it didn't destroy the Repubican party...

it's primaries... come on?

the Republicans may have some heat too, between Rudy and McCain... but McCain is playing it kind of slow early on...but I'm sure it will heat up... Rudy has WAY too much dirt in his closet...

but, in the end... it will all mean nothing...

I think the Democrats will put all their political weight behind Hillary as they did with her husband back in '92; the more intriguing question might be: How can the Republicans win in 2008, and who will win THEIR rat race?

You know...no matter what they end up doing, it can't be as bad as what dubya's already done since he's been in office...

Having said that, much as it pains me to admit it, I don't think that the American people are ready to have either a woman or a black man as President.

After all, there's a reason why the current administration went after the redneck vote: they clearly outnumber the more intellectual Democrats. Sad, but true.

I don't think there is a Republican that can fix the damage done to that party even if the Democrats play a dirty campaign.

When the Dems implode, they will.......... drumroll please: blame the Republicans.

They will concoct some labarynthine plot in which we somehow tricked them.

Hillary will have no trouble swatting Obama away, but if she thinks she can beat someone like Condi Rice, she is delusional. I say that knowing full well she's got a war chest that would make Rockefeller gasp.

What do you mean "When it implodes"? I thought it already imploded. Now it's just time to sit back and enjoy the soap opera.
