All the time.. I work in a service business. If you want repeat business.. the customer always comes first.. If you get an unruly customer.. bite your tongue until they leave.. I never take anything personally regarding customers.. I have a thick veneer..

Literally? Well, I helped an old biddy off the bus with a rake of shopping and offered to carry it home for her.
But not sure it was a great service - and it was only half a mile!

A young single mother left her wallet in the shop where I work as a volunteer for charity. I looked at her cards and rang the bank who alerted her that it had ben found. She phoned to say she had no transport and could not come to collect it for several days as she had nobody to look after her small children. I walked two miles uphill and back after work to return it to her, even though I am not in great health, as she said it was going to make life difficult for her without money. I can't say that she was particularly grateful, but that is life...

I used to do domiciliary work, and naturally, some of my patients were quite elderly. One lady was about seventy, but she was tidy and had nice jugs, so I boned her to get the sale! I don't think I really needed to, but she put it on a plate and I ate it up. Tasted so good I went back for more! She even wrote in to my employer to praise my 'great service'!

When I was in college i worked at a grocery store. A lady forgot one of her bags of groceries, so I delivered it to her home 30 miles away after I got of work.
