I'm currently 5th in my league, but this week I'm beating the #1 team 8-3 in my head to head league. I'm looking to try and make my team a serious contendor....what should I do?

My team:

PG: Chris Paul, Delonte West, Smush Parker, Brevin Knight (INJ)
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Josh Howard
SF: Rudy Gay, Stephen Jackson
PF: Udonis Haslem, Amare Stoudemire
C: Brad Miller, Mikki Moore

I know my C's are a little weak but Amare has C eligibility and I'm doing okay. What type of trades should I offer?

Once you hit the playoffs it's all about winning each week. It doesn't matter how many categories you win so long as you get the majority. So what you need to do is pick six categories your team is strongest in and shore them up. For instance you can forget about acquiring any shot blockers or scorers since you will not win those categories anyway. But you have decent rebounding 3pt and steals. I'd go for someone like Quintin Richardson who does well in all three of those areas. As far as who to trade, well your best asset is Amare. Of the categories you can win, he is only helping you in rebounding. I'd say trade him 2 for 1 for QR and someone else good. Just make sure you get at least one PF/C in return or you will get scheduling problems. Ideal trade: Amare for Quintin Richardson + Mehemet Okur

As far as Brevin Knight goes, hold him for a few more games. He just came back and his potencial is too good to discard so soon. If he still stinks after three or four more games then look to dump him but only if there is a good option on the wire.

Hope this helps

try to trade Udonis Haslem and Mikki Moore in a 2 for 2 player trade, because Moore has been good some games but bad in others, and Haslem is a 10 pts. 10 Reb. almost every night, so try to get 1 solid center and an ok PF.

I would try to find someone to sell high on Stephen Jackson. He is has been playing well of late but is a one bad game from going into a serious slump. Also, Don Nelson is always unpredictable with his rotation. Just glancing at your roster, I would say you are a little light on blocks. At this point in the season it is hard to make any killer deals, but maybe approach the teams the closer to bottom and offer them 2 or 3 of your lesser players for a stud. Something like West, Haslem, and Moore for someone like Shawn Marion.

you need a sf. with josh howard backing up ray allen you can afford to deal one of them to strengthen yourself in the rebounding, fg% area. Try grabbing boozer since currently injured (will be back in a week or 2) and he has been an absolute beast this season. That if you want to trade howard. For ray allen look for a bit higher value player since you'll be losing a lot of 3s, points, and ft%. If nene is still on waivers grab him and you wont need to trade. Also you can do better than anthony parker, there has to be someone with better stats than him on waivers.

well besides allen you dont really have another 3 pt shooter. yea your centers are weak and you probably need an upgrade there. brad miller isnt a very good rebounder. you dont really have blocks either. you should try to get a okafor or camby type player, since knight is hurt, you will take a hit on assts which you also need to upgrade for the mean time.

Try and dump Knight and Miller for a solid forward. Look on the waiver wire for some good players like Dampier, Bynum, or Collison. They can fill in for center.

no matter what happens, drop knight and moore. neither is that good. knight used to be great with steals AND assists, but he lost his starting job to felton and doesn't get much playing time. release him for a three point shooter, like a brent barry, since allen is your only consistent three point shooter. mikki moore doesn't have good stats at all. fransisco elson has been good lately, and for some reason, dikembe mutumbo is still a free agent in most leagues.

Six teams make the playoffs in h2h leagues so you aren't doing to bad. Just keep an eye out for hot free agents.

As for trades, try to get a favorable trade with a team that is low in the standings.
