Mode is the number that appears the most in a list.

For the first list: 40,58,64,70 there is NO MODE based on the definition of mode.

For the same list, the median is (58 + 64)/2.

Median = 122/2 = 61

Mean = the average

Add 40 + 58 + 64 + 70 and divide by 4.

Mean = 232/4 = 58.

Now, do the same with the other questions.

(40+58+64+70) / 4 = mean (average): 58,
median (if the numbers are put in order, this is the middle number - since there are two middle numbers, take the average of the two numbers (58+64)/2) = 61,
mode (number that occurs most frequently): none (or all???)

(1+1+1+2+10) / 5 = 3

(5+13+15+17+20+20) / 6 = 15

mean=average. add the numbers then divide by amount of numbers. (40+58+64+70)/4

median= the middle number. its between 58 and 64. i think you need to get the average of them.

mode=number that appears the most? not sure. if thats the case, there is none.

mean of 1,1,1,2,10=3 (15/5)

mean of 5,13,15,17,20,20= do the math

honey, why are you having Lord only knows who do your homework? Ask a parent or a brother/sister or wait to ask your teacher so they can go over it with you. It will be really great when you figure out HOW to get the answer, not just get the answer. Good luck.
