ok put a medium blob on the back of your hand and then dab it dot on your cheeks chin nose and fore head using ur finger. then use your fingers of a sponge to rub it in.
i prefer to use a matt mousse foundation as it had a sort of powdery feel to it after it has been applied.

You are probably using the wrong foundation. Cheap foundations generally get cakey and gross.
You will want to find the foundation that works best for your skin. Chances are you don't need full coverage, most women use a medium coverage or sheer foundation that will help minimize the cakiness.
If your foundation still looks bad, you can apply it and then go over the entire face with a slightly damp sponge or rag to smooth out the appearance of the foundation and this will also remove any excess. Just be gentle and light becuase you dont want to wipe off all your work!
My website below has more foundation types that may work better for your skin. I have tried other kinds of foundation and NEVER been happy til I tried Mary Kay. Every woman I know who has tried it has never gone back or tried another. It really is great!! it's even good for hypoallergenic skin like mine.

Try using a primer first, MAC, Napoleon and ModelCo have great ones. Primers help you apply your foundation easier (so you dont have to apply as much to get it to glide across your skin) and they also help set your foundation for longer. Napoleon have a lovely natural liquid foundation that just looks like real skin. Start in the middle of your face and blend gently outwards. This stops tide marks. Fingertips, sponge or brush doesnt really matter its what you are comfortable with but I use a good quality foundation brush and pat with my fingers afterwards. Go to a MAC or Napoleon or other great brand counter and ask them to apply a foundation for your skin and get them to explain how to do it. Don't get pushed into buying too many products though, primer and foundation and maybe a brush at the most.

If theres a CVS anywhere near, I would recommend buying essence of beauty Multi-Purpose Cotton Cosmetic Applicators. They take off the right amount of make up if you run them over the parts that look cakey or uneven. Those are only a couple dollars. You could also run a tissue over the parts the look cakey, that always blends it in.
Also, make sure you are putting on lotion before you apply your make-up!

Hope I helped =D

i imagine per chance you should attempt a tinted moisturizer and then powder starting place on genuine of that. Tinted moisturizer frequently does no longer dry out your pores and skin or look cakey (it really is like moisturizer with a touch starting place) and then use some powder on genuine to grant more suitable insurance. In my journey it takes truly some powder starting place for you to look cakey so as it really is what i'd advise. notwithstanding once you're useless set on liquid starting place then attempt to easily exfoliate your pores and skin gently!! no longer too harsh in the different case it is going to reason harm for your pores and skin and probable make it extra oily. St.ives apricot facial scrub is a really reliable one and cheap. Then use some moisturizer, I advise aloe (vera) after sunlight lotion, it has a eco-friendly nozzle and is in a sparkling bottle, it really is equate sort you'll locate that and the scrub at walmart. it really is what i take advantage of and it truly works splendidly and that i have tried many intense priced possibilities. I absolutely have oily/mix pores and skin besides so if it truly works for me would grant you with the outcomes you want. :) wish this helps.

I always wear make-up but mine always looks natural. I use concealer under my eyes and a little bit I blend all over my face, And then I use a powder foundation all over and on top I use a bronzer followed by some blush on my cheeks. Looks really nice and pretty.

Perfect solution, get 'whipped foundation'. It is so light, you can feel it, applies smooth, covers up them nasty blemishes, matches almost and skin color and keeps your face shine and oil free. It was a revolutionary idea that Maybelliene New York came up with, so that is the best brand to stick with, otherwise many other brands caught on and have their own style of whipped foundation.

I'm just a child of the male sex.
So I'm not an expert, I think.
But I believe, I really believe that your skin resists.
Your skin knows : I'm beautiful just as I am.
So when you use foundation cream, your skin opposes.
It's as simple as that.

What am I doing here in the category makeup?!
Just a slip of the keyboard. Sorry.
