I have 1 Algebra/Inequality questions that i am stumped on could anyone please help??

1. Cashews sell for $3.75 per pound Peanuts sell for $2.00 per pund. How much nuts must Al mix to get 70 pounds of mixture that he can sell for $3.00 per pound. Express by linear equations.

Let
p = # pounds of peanuts to make up the 70 lbs mix
c = " cashews----- ditto -----------------------(can't type spaces)

So p + c = 70 or (in order to have only 1 variable) p = 70 - c

We assume that the sale of mixture loses no money and that making the mix costs nothing.

c(3.75) + (70 - c)(2) = 70(3)

Solve for c; subtract c from 70 to get p.

[ I get c = 40; p = 30 and these numbers check out:
40x($3.75) = $150 cashew cost }
30x($2) = $60 peanut cost}}}}}}}}} combined cost = $210
70 lb mixture @ $3/lb = $210 mixture value ]

I see no need for an inequality.
