So everytime I click on a link, a new window pops up. And when I close that window (when I'm done with it), this message saying "We have encountered a problem..." and so on, comes up. It's that Internet Explorer sign.

If I press the 'Don't send' button or the IE sign, it closes all my internet windows that are open.

So I was wondering, is there anything I can do that can make a new page from a link come up as a new tab instead of as a new window, so my internet won't close when that message comes up?

I tried to explain the best way I can.

Really hope someone can help.

Thanks.

I HIGHLY recommend that you use Mozilla's Firefox, it's better than IE. Go to http://www.getfirefox.com.

Also, it sounds like that in addition to (or instead of) a problem with the way IE runs, it's likely you have some spyware running. You may want to run a scan for that as well as a anti-virus scan.

For IE, you may want to go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com to make sure you have the latest patches for your IE installer.

Sounds like you recently installed IE7. Either uninstall it and go back to IE6 or download Mozilla Firefox and use that web browser. IE7 has a lot of problems Microsoft hasn't fixed yet.
