Does this look good or should i be wearing a white bottom up shirt underneath instead??

My girlfriend is out of town so i don't have anyone to save me from fashion mistakes :)

Also, if you have some general suggestions about style etc, just let me know

yeah, thats a great combo. its also cute that u listen to ur gf fashion suggestions, my bf n i like picking out clothes for each other when we go clothes shopping...sometimes it doesnt work n we end up picking out things that look awful(of course those stay in the store lol), but other times we find stuff for each other that we wouldnt have considered, like this great jacket that he insisted i try on n i was doubtful about, and now its my favorite jacket n i get compliments on it. plus it makes u feel good when u know ur helpin ur hunnie look good.
something u can do for when shes out of town is have her pick outfits that look great on u and take pics before she leaves, then u will have a "when in doubt, wear this" catologue. lol, she will rest easy knowin ur still stylin :)

Okay -

I'm going to be the voice of difference.

Like the sweater & button up. Like the jeans.

Don't like them together.

The jeans are too casual to wear with the preppy sweater & shirt. You need jeans that don't have the wear patterns - that are all one color (preferrabley dark) to wear with that top.

Or you need a sweater that is a bit more casual - perhaps with a stripe etc. Or even a shirt that has a pattern.

It looks like you came home from prep school, and just changed your pants.

Just my opinion. I've been dressing my guy for 14 years now! :)

you know what would look SO HOT!?!?!
okay, take the shirt underneath, and unbutton the first button, and bring the collar outside the top, and the ends of the sleeves and bring them outside the bottom of the sweater sleeves...SO HOT!!!

BLUE LOOKS OK BUT WHITE WOULD LOOK BETTER IF YOU ARE GOING TO WEAR A SHIRT UNDERNEATH AT ALL. YOU COULD WEAR IT W/O A SHIRT UNDERNEATH AND IT WOULD LOOK GOOD ALSO.

I think it looks super cute and preppy. A white shirt looks to every day ordinary.
