Hitler was a very good leader. Just like Augustus from Rome. Hitler may have made bad decisions, but his overcoming of poverty in Germany 1930s was what set him aside from all the other politics in Germany. Hitler also set a very strong army, and had his people in Germany following him. Hitler created a very strong nationalism, patriotism, and militarism state in Germany. All three are very important for a country's success. Hitler found methods of better economy. His different political levels (political bureaucracy) led to a more stable government in Germany. Aside from the slaying of 6 million Jews, Hitler was a political prodigy!

No! He was not a good leader! What type of question is this. He killed millions of people! Well wait a second they were only Jews. I guess to some of you That would make him the man of the 20th century. Lets build a park to him and have a Hitler Day Parade. We could all go down to Wal-mart and buy little stick on mustaches, and some off those piped brown pants. Happy Krystal Night we could all say and bake cakes in the shape of the swastika. Oh and then we could all watch moves of his little dance he did when France surrendered, and laugh! And then we could all say what a great leader he was! Oh don't forget the ever crowed pleasing pin the star on the Holocaust victim. Hitler a good leader? To hell with Hitler. He got what he needed, a bullet in the head. End of Story

Hitler was a good leader just not a good person. He did a lot of good for Germany after their country had been raped by the French after WW1. He helped rebuild the nation and create prosperity for its citizens as well as returning national pride.
The problem is the way he achieved this, by the use of violence and fear. Instead of uniting the German people by sensible means he used scapegoats to blame all of their problems on including Gypsies and Jews as well as others.
As a black and white question - yes, he was a good leader and achieved a lot before his downfall.
As a moral question - no, he was evil and gained his power by the wrong means, causing the death of millions and deserved far worse than what he got.

Hitler was a great manipulator.

He managed to manipulate the nation of Germany into a war that the German people didn't really want (sound familiar?) and have them turn upon a whole race that was an important part of German culture. That takes amazing manipulative skills.

But he was driven to serve his own dark side and not to serve his people. That doesn't have much to do with leadership.

Being a good leader means more than getting people to follow you. Being a leader means that you are leading ALL under you in the best possible direction.
He was able to get people to do what he wanted, but his actions led to failure not victory. I would say Queen Elizabeth I or George Washington where good leaders. Elizabeth's reign was called the Golden Age because of how her WHOLE country prospered, and Washington won a war against seemingly impossible odds.

Good leadership is not just the ability to make people do things. It also involves where you lead them. Hitler led Germany down a destructive path. Destructive to itself as well as to other countries.
Also, he governed by force, assassination, mob rule, etc.
In a family, it is generally the baby who dominates. The baby, however, is not the leader.

He was a good leader. People followed him. People believed in what he says. Personally, I think he's a piece of trash who cause so much destruction.

No. Bush was not a good leader. Oops, I mean Hitler. He had the world on the run and, just like General Custard, he snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory. Good leaders listen to their advisers. Hitler, like Bush, were far to arrogant to listen, so many others have paid the price.
