I don't know if it makes us better human beings. I don't know if anything can do that. But I do believe that art is a way for us to catch a glimpse of the world through the eyes of another. So I guess you can say it can open or broaden your mind. Maybe spark some creativity.

I believe it does because it leaves a legacy of not only pictures but also thoughts, feelings, worries and hopes of the time it was created. When we look back at art, we can get a good read on what the people were like. If we really study art, we can learn from others' mistakes, inspire ourselves, and grow in understanding.
