is it 3 1/2 or 31/2?
divide bothe sides by 31/2 (multiply by the reciprocal)
(if it's 3 1/2, convert to an improper fraction first 7/2)
31/2x=3/4
x = 3/4 (2/31)
x = 6/124
simplify
x=3/62
if its 3 1/2
x = 3/4 (2/7)
x = 6/28
simplify
x=3/14

There are an infinite style of pairs attractive this equation. whether x and y must be integers, any pair of integers attractive x = 4 + 2y will artwork. for social accumulating, for y = 0, a million, 2, 3 and four, we get x = 4, 6, 8 and 10 p.c.. any 3 values you like for y. Then discover your fee for x = 4 + 2y. Write the pairs like this: (4, 0), (6, a million), (8, 2) ...

to solve this what you would do is set it up as an equation and cross multiply
31/2x=3/4
I can't display it properly on here (at least not easily)
but you get 31*4=2x*3
or 124=6x
therefore x = 124/6
or x = 62/3

you have to divide 3/4 by (I'm assuming) 3 1/2
change 3 1/2 to an improper fraction : 7/2
leave change flip, so instead of 3/4 divided by 7/2 you have 3/4 x 2/7
the multiply to get : 6/28 which reduces to 3/14
x= 3/14
