Why do lesbian's stay away from bisexual women?
When being into chicks I've always been into lesbians...but when I tell a lesbian I'm bisexual they usually don't even bother...why?

Wow I didn't even realise I did that until just now. Speaking only for myself, it might be because of how so many basically straight women say they are bisexual because it's cool at the moment. I would feel a bit used if I was with someone like that. I'd also be more worried that we'd get together and they'd decide they were straight and I'd get dumped.
I think there is also an unconsious "gay club" going on in my head. Whenever I meet a gay man or woman they're in the club but bisexual doesn't really count for some reason.
That said, if I fell for a bisexual woman I wouldn't walk away just because she also likes guys.

This is a mystery I've pondered many times. As a lesbian (who likes all natural born women straight, gay, bi, and otherwise) I have never been able to understand why lesbians have problems with bisexuals and curious women. I think women are women- be they straight, gay, bi, or just a little curious. If there's mutual attraction then what's it matter who plays for what team? I believe in recruiting- how else are we ever going to take over the world? Alright that said, if a lesbian can't handle dating you because of a fear that you'll leave her for a man, then it's her problem not yours. Because it really means she's more afraid of being left, and not being able to trust you. And maybe I'm old fashioned, but I think good, stable relationships are built on trust. All I can say is keep hunting, there are open minded lesbians out there. I'm trying to break down this wall on my side, maybe one day we'll open up the community. Good luck!

There's a misconception in society and especially in lesbian culture that feels since you are able to sexually be with men and women, that means the lesbian you're with not only has to be afraid you'd leave her for a woman but possibly a man as well. Doubles her troubles, as it were. Or perhaps you've run in to lesbians who might feel you're being "disloyal" in some way by not picking a side - I've often heard bisexuals refered to as "fence riders". I don't agree with any of it, but just laying out thoughts for you. Hope your luck changes :).

Weird that you'd ask that. I am a lesbian and for some reason, when I am with a girl I automatically assume she identifies as a lesbian. For some reason, even when I am reall yinto her, if she says she's bi I automatically turn off. I have no idea why I feel this way and I have tried several times to make myself stick with the relationship, to not feel this way, but I just do. So I know I am not really answering your question perse, just acknowledging what you are asking and saying I honestly don't know why lesbains do that. If you figure it out, let me know.

We feel this way because we are very afraid that you will leave us for a man. Being with another lesbian gives you a secure comfortable feeling. I used to be turned off by bi women but I that you can't help who you fall in love with, whether it be a man or a woman.

Can't say I as I have any good answer here as I've simply never experienced this. I'm bi, but my partner is a lesbian. Actually all three females I've had relationships with have been lesbians. I've always been honest that I'm bi, but it's never been an issue.

Because being lesbian doesn't mean the person is any more open-minded than anyone else. Bi and trans women that like other women often get treated like crap by lesbians.
