If that's what you want to do, it's never too early. So many singers have made it big in the music industry starting from a young age. Don't wait if you can sing and you want to get noticed. Enter contests, try out of American Idol. Make some demo tapes. Read some auto biographies from other singers and how they made it big to give you ideas on what you will need to do and what to expect. Be confident. Be serious about it and have fun at the same time. -L

It's good to dream, but dream within reason... You're very young to set your heart on something that truthfully is not a very likely possibility regardless of whether or not you have talent.
"American Idol" teaches us that an amazingly small percentage of aspiring singers ever actually get noticed and taken seriously... Even less manage to attain recording contracts.
If you still have this dream when you're older then look into making a demo in a few more years and send it to the record companies. But keep in mind that thousands of other hopefuls are doing the same thing, keep a level head and don't let your thoughts be unrealistic.
For now your biggest concern in life shouldn't be anything more complicated than making sure your homework is done. Believe me, life catches up to you fast and there are a lot of disappointments to face along the way... When people tell you not to rush things, take the advice ;)

no i don't think it's to soon to be thinking about your future. I do think that a 14 year old girl can make it in the music industry. there have been lots of singers that were younger than 14 who have made it big. keep trying and don't give up if that's what you really what in life. i hope it works out for you.

As long as you have the talent it's never too early, but it might not be the best idea to try to break into the music industry at such a young age. Get some performance practice, join some musical clubs and try to get into some singing competitions in your area, you never know who could be there. When you get a little older, at least 16 you can start going for the big stuff. You'll know yourself better and you won't end up like Britney Spears.

Honestly..not trying to be mean or anything..and dont take it personally..cause i really dont know you or how good you are personally..but 14 is a little bit young..its deff. not to early to be THINKING about it..but its a little hard to pursue a carreer that young..you're only 14 years old and you have a LOT of life to live still..and you may not know for sure what you want to do yet..If you REALLY believe in yourself then it is MOST DEFFIANTLY okay to start thinking about it..taking music lessons(not saying your bad..but they help), also..you still have college to go through..you may think college dont get you anywhere for the music business but it sure does..you have a MUCH better chance of getting on the right foot going to college for music or even a special music college such as Juliardes or something like that..If you TRUELY TRUELY do believe you CAn make it happen! =)

Absolutely, yes. Tanya Tucker was only 13 when she was discovered, also Charlotte Church was 12 I believe. It is never too early to follow a dream, the earlier the better..
