Haha,
the u.s. and a. (according to Borat) is a very young nation.

As far as I know from history lessons Great Britain was formed around 9000 years ago at the end of the last ice age. Then settled by all kinds of european population groups, eg. vikings, the latest big groups are the angeln (danish-frisian tribe ~ Anglia = England.) and the saxons (celtic-germans, living in the woods) 1800 years ago.

the u.s. and a. are 250 years old,
so phps YOU can say the romans 2000 years ago had more influence on the world, under Hadrian a more powerful economy and a tremendous and more powerful army than the u.s. and a. are ever will be able to have.

Give me one instance where they have ever done anything for us without monetary reward!
Any help we got from them during the war (before they were dragged in by Japan) came at a very extortionate price! Which has taken us poor taxpayers over 60 years to repay! They funded terrorism (and wont even admit it) but hey what did they care? the IRA weren't going to bomb them! The junk food is American! The crap TV is American and they have spread their obesity or it's size 0 opposite extreme to most of the world!
We are Europeans! The whole Country is a mix of various European races from the Roman Invasion onwards! We also along with the rest of Europe gave birth to the Country now known as the USA! (Sorry any native Americans I know you were there first)

Why should britain expect any other country to do more for us.

america charged us through the nose in the second world war & only in recent years did we complete the payments & interest.

Remember they also supplied the germans originally.

They charged the Saudis a fortune during the Gulf War that was started by the americans who gave Saddam Hussein the nod to take back Kuwait.( It was originally part of Iraq for those citizens that only learn about what goes on in their state)

americans are war mongers especially when their economy is in trouble.

America is indebted to Britain for what Blair has done in Iraq for the Oil that americans have stolen & Blair has made a load of personal money from this to the detriment of Britain & the rest of the world.

Why do you want other countries to do anything for us.

I dont want to be indebted to any other country

I am British

They probably have ... before the 20th century the European nations were always rivalling each other and engaging in destructive wars ... in the 20th century we faced 2 over-powerful Europen powers .. Germany and then the Soviet Union, so US had to be relied on as an ally and fortunately was usually reliable, if over-keen on war as a tool of foreign policy.

However, what of the future? If Europe gets strong we will have to throw in our lot with them. I think we are probably not strategically important to the US now the Soviet threat is past.

Britain always did more for herself than anyone else did. The Yanks had nothing to do with winning WW 11, Britain withstood Hitler's onslaught,by herself for 2 yrs and more, WW11 was won by Britain and RUSSIA (for some reason no one understands what Russia did)

The Yanks used the most lethal weapon to get Japan to surrender, they have NEVER won a war- sorry, they got rid of Noriega, and won in GRENADA! Humiliated in Vietnam, tryed to rescue hostages held by Iran, all they're helicopters crashed in the desert! and they HUNG SADDAM HUSSEIN! What a heroic victory indeed!
