One has chosen to do drugs and has abused himself to the point that he recieves early retirement from ssi and that provides no benifits for children. The other pretends to have a mental illness to avoid getting a job and mooches his way through life. Is being abducted by aliens realy a valid excuse for the non payment of child support?

It's a sad day for men, when they would resort to all sorts of idiocy to keep from paying for "their" child's support. Do these men not "get it" that these are CHILDREN they're not willing to help provide a living for?....THEIR children, no less!! As far as you having any recourse goes, you could have them locked up. You might even get some of their tax refunds if you pushed it, or SSI possibly, but even that's not certain.

I agree with Hooie - Michelle had a very nasty comment. People like that probably are with a man who has to pay support and can't handle the love he has for his child.

I feel for you.. I am going through the same thing. My ex switches jobs with a union making $30/hr so he doesnt have a garnishment in place long enough to support his kids. Every since I remarried 3 years ago and had a baby he refuses to support my two older kids because of the new baby. It takes two to tango and it is sad that some parents become deadbeats and find loopholes in the system. Hopefully your children are not exposed to these men and you can find better role models for your children. The only thing you can do is go through the courts and that is not even effective most of the time. My new husband was told to pick up pop bottles to pay his child support if that is what it takes. It is amazing how the courts are unsympathetic to the ones who ARE trying and let the true deadbeats fall through the cracks.

It's hard to get the money you deserve. My ex does not pay his child support either! He just now gave me 500 in the past 3 years and didn't do it correctly. So that's on him! But hey, I got something. But I continue to call the cs office and I get the run around all the time. The truth is they don't care. He is currently serving 5 years probation for assault with a deadly weapon on me and my husband and did it in front of my son! Of course the courts don't care. Justice? And to Michelle, shows what class you have. You make a commit like that and don't have your email down for a comment back! Besides, you need a man to make the baby and the woman doesn't or shouldn't have to do it on her own! I know why you don't have kids. Your a nasty person whom no may will touch. I feel sorry for you. I know it sucks not to get any!

If you find anything out let me know!

Contact Social Security about the one who is on disability...his child is entitled to government support. SSI will pay his child support.

As for the other one, the courts can try to get money from him but ultimately if he has no income or money there isn't a whole lot they'll do. The courts do not want to jail men for this because it costs the state a lot of money to keep a person locked up. Jail is used as a threat mostly against financially well off men who refuse to pay but can afford to. Jail is effective against them because they don't want the shame of it. It's not effective against poor men because they simply have no money.

My attorney told me this when i was unable to find work due to poor health..I have epilepsy and diabetes and no one would hire me. I eventually started a graphic design business and made enough $$ to pay my back support...but keep in mind that many poor men don't have the education or money for that. I have a fine arts degree and my family helped me with the money to get my business started. In the future try not to have kids with men who can't support them!

Wow, you certainly make a habit of finding the wrong guy.

In the State of Ca. the District Attorneys Office forces the louse to pay. I know the States of Missouri, Oregon and Washington have similar laws on their books. The service is free because it's cheaper for them to collect than to keep the kids on Welfare. So contact your local Social Services Dept and ask them who to call... but first, you need to see a counselor and talk to them about why you think you need a husband that you need to take care of.

i do no longer understand how that even occurred in the 1st place. State to state that kind of shock is looked at. despite the fact that, if the youngster help replaced into via the state and not in simple terms a verbal contract between him and her then he might for specific be waiting to sue her.

yes mental illness is one of the best ways out of child support, sounds like you need to be more selective when spreading those legs

Good GOD, that is a handful.

i honestly dont see an out for you on this one. i'll post the links (just click on your state) but unless the SSI covers the kids and they throw the fruitloop in jail, i dont see how your ever gonna get funds from them. they are working on getting child support out of SSI and other benifits. call your local SS office and ask the status of that.

maybe liens on their property?

you could write your states Regional FEDERAL Child Support Office and ask them.

Ha ha you're one to talk about mooching. Shouldn't have had kids if you can't afford to take care of them without running after other people trying to squeeze money out of them because u opened your legs.
