l*w=11.5
but you need more info to solve for two unknowns
so there are MANY answers that will work with the given info
1 and 11.5
2 and 5.75
3 and 3 5/6
4 and 2.875
5 and 2.3
2.5 and 4.6
etc

The area equals the length times the width (A=LW)

So, there are several solutions to that questions.

If the length is 11.5, then the width is 1 (11.5x1=11.5)

If the length is 5.75, then the width is 2 (5.75x2=11.5)

There are endless possible answers to this question.

well area of a rectangle is equal to Length x Width... so there are various dimensions it can be.

lw= 11.5
potential combinations

1 x 11.5
2 x 5.75
3 x 3.8333
4 x 2.875
5 x 2.3

The simplest answer would be a rectangle that is 11.5m long and 1m wide since area = lenght * width.

They are endless, as area is made by base X height... so whatever combination whose result is 11.5 is fine... you lack some information...
