Ok, First of all, I've been with my guy for 5 years and I love him like no other. I would never dream of cheating on him. However, he won't work out with me. So this morning, I was working out and a guy from my work noticed me there. He came up to me and started working out with me, I asked him if he would help me get motivated to workout every day since I really have very little motivation myself. He said he would be glad to train me and we exchanged numbers. I made it clear to him that I was taken so he wouldn't get the wrong idea. Is it wrong for me to have a male workout partner without my boyfriend knowing?

I don't think it's wrong at all. If you have been together for 5 years, there should be trust! As long as you're honest and you're not secretly interested in this guy from work, it shouldn't be a problem but if it is, then your boyfriend and you should talk about it and you can explain that you need the motivation and your friend from work can help, unless HE can start working out with you. :) Hey, it might change his mind and he will come and work out with you.

First of all ask yourself this... How would you feel if you found out your boyfriend was keeping something from you? This is wrong and not healthy. Why would you hide this from your boyfriend if you did not think it was so wrong?? humm.. you know its wrong. Plus HELLO workingout is all about you and your body. Men workout different then women do and don't understand how to train a women UNLESS he is a professional trainer. Find a girl in the gym to workout with, or email me, I'm a trainer. hanansareini@yahoo.com

you just did a right thing of letting your coleage know that you are already taken and it would be a lot better if your boyfriend will know about it as much as you are concern for the other guys to take it differently you should be concern of how he would react to it too. Who knows if he got jealous he might go to the gym with you next time... If he knew everything i dont think he would still get a wrong impression about it...

Have a good day!

Absolutely NOTHING WRONG with having a male gym buddy! As long as working out at the gym is all you're doing. So just be clear on where to draw the line. And if your boyfriend gets jealous, remind him that it was HIS choice not to go with you to the gym, and that he can feel free to get up off his asss and join you any time he wants!

No it's not wrong for you to have a male workout partner IF your boyfriend knows. You gotta tell the boyfriend, otherwise you look very guilty.

It's not wrong to have a male friend(same way a guy can have a female Friend). Now hiding it from your partner IS wrong.....

Yes it is wrong , just tell your b/f so it doesn't look like your trying to hide something . If you don't and he finds out you will look guilty when you aren't at all . GOOD LUCK ! Tell the truth please !
