OK, I'll do my best:

1. I feel the strongest theme in Romeo and Juliet is fate. It was the fate of Romeo and Juliet to meet at the party, yet it was also fate that prevented them from being together publicly. In the end, fate is what drove them to their deaths- Juliet took the potion in order to prevent her fate of marrying Paris, which led to Romeo's tragic fate of suicide, followed almost immediately by Juliet's suicide when she discovered Romeo dead. I think a lot of people would disagree and say love is the strongest theme, but if you think about it, love really doesn't have much to do with it. At best, it is infatuation and a desire for the forbidden that draws Romeo and Juliet together, so that is why I feel fate is actually the most prominent theme.

2. My favorite act is the famous balcony scene. If it were me acting it out, I would update it, much like in Baz Luhrmann's screen adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, several years ago. I would have Romeo in the dark, obscured bby a large rosebush so his face couldn't be seen, and I'd have Juliet all backlit to complement the line about "It is the East, and Juliet is the sun." At the end of the scene, I would have a light suddenyl shine behind Romeo so that he, too, could be seen. I would portray it like that instead of the traditional way because I think a lot of the play is symbolic in nature anyway, and I would want to show the symbolism of Romeo being illuminated by Juliet's presence.

3. One major conflict today that could be compared to the Montagues and Capulets is the situation in Northern Ireland. Juliet could be a Catholic and Romeo could be a Protestant, and they could be forbidden to see each other. Or maybe in Israel, Juliet could be an Israeli and Romeo could be a Palestine. I doubt much can be done to end that feud, as both of those have religious undertones, and people don't tend to change their minds about religion.

OK, there you go. I hope this helps!!!!!

This is your homework, and these are actually quite easy answers if you've read the play. I'm not going to do it for you, but I'll help.

1) This is your opinion: "Why would you choose it ...", so there isn't a wrong answer, as long as you have evidence to support your reason. People are dying; loved ones aren't together. Think about what happens in the story.

2) This just takes imagination and creativity. Why are you asking us what our favourite act is? It's asking what is YOUR favourite act. After figuring that out, just explain how you would act it out. Like what emotions would you portray? What facial expressions? Just imagine what the scene would look like.

3) This is just generating an analogy. What is the conflict between Montagues and the Capulets? Make a brief summary about their conflict so it is easier to find a modern day conflict.

I think a case could be made for both the feud and the romance as the strongest theme. As for conflicts that could be compared to the Montagues and Capulets, think of any feud--even the war in Iraq is a feud between opposing religious groups. Another might be the feud between the mother and the friend of Anna Nicole regarding where she should be buried. Other than that, you are on your own. Look at how the questions are worded--YOUR favorite act; how would YOU act it; why would YOU, etc.

well first of all all one question at a time...the strongest theme. The strongest theme is that there is always someone out there other than that one person who doesn't love u back (Rosaline) or love can bring the enemies closer in the strangest ways...and u would chose it because Romeo and Juliet is about love.
Next ?: Favorite scene= balcony scene where they kiss...you decide how it looks in ur opinion...
Major conlficts for today: Religion can effect love...cause if someone if someone is a religious jew and doesn't want to convert to christianity..u have a major problem..the feud is unsolvable...

The strongest theme would be that almost nobody wants them together. That would be the strongest bcuz that is pretty much what the book is about, Two Kids loving eachother but their famalies are hatin'....

My favorite act was when they were confused with the poison thing... ( I read a remake ) Like I would have Juliet being "Dead" on the "corset" ( I think it's called that ) then Romeo would cry bcuz he thoght she was dead.... then he would drink real poison and kill himself, then Juliet would wake up and drink the real poison bcuz he is dead, bcuz they are idiots, then yea... I would "portray" it like that bcuz I DO WHAT I WANT. =|||

Like gangs and stuff, and they could have ended the feud by killing eachother or hMmM.... maybe they could just forget it and be rational people. Oh he killed "BLAH BLAH" yesterday! It doesn't matter. Cancer kills alot of people every day. Maybe they deserved it. If they killed someone important, it shall be war 4ever.

I don't know wtf Im talking about. =|||

exceptionally a lot Juliet is asserting how she desires Romeo became everybody yet a Montague. She's asserting a acceptance would not remember. somebody's character makes them who they do no longer seem to be thier final call. The area with reference to the rose skill a rose is a rose (wonderful and candy) no remember what we call it. Romeo continues to be Romeo in spite of his call. She says on the top his call isn't any area of him, meaning his call doesnt remember to her, she loves him besides.

Sounds like you saved up a lot of work and now its due. Sorry, Shakespeare just doesn't work that way. Look at your notes, read Cliff's notes, check out what your teacher had to say about it. Dust off your brain, you are going to need it. By the way, this is no one time thing. High school means learning.
