Hey these two colleges are my final choices for undergrad next year. Which one should I choose and why?

I'm going into business Management/Economics. Famu is going to give me $2000 and maybe more. Morehouse however feels as if it will give me a better sense of professionalism and feed me into a better grad school (Harvard, Wharton, etc) Also is it true FAMU has 5 year MBA program which combines with Undergrad?

Depends on what you want to study. Overall Morehouse is the more prestigious university. But if you are interested in studying pharmacy, or business then go to FAMU. There is lots more to do in Atlanta than Tallahassee. You will have fun and learn a lot at either university. I would base my choice on where I get more aid.

Famu Pharmacy Curriculum

This is a difficult decision. I think Morehouse is by far the better school, but FAMU is offering money. I would say Morehouse is the best option because in the end, $2,000 isn't much when it comes to school. If Morehouse can get you into a great grad school, then think of the extra money per year that you will be making compared to what you would have if you went to FAMU. probably $10k per year difference or more.

It is definitely true that FAMU has the 5 year MBA program that many prestigious schools are offering such as Northwestern. I am personally going to study Business Management. After much research, FAMU is my choice because it has been ranked with Harvard in terms of recruitment by Fortune 500 companies and they are offering money. The School of Business and Industry (SBI) is known in the business world as a gruelling school with a tough curriculum and has been published in Fortune, Newsweek, Merck World, New York Times, US News & World Report. SBI is actually holding a seminar at the African American Cultural Library in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at 10:00 am . The actually school will be here if you would like more information or contact me via email. Oh, by the way, its not always were you go, but how compentent you are and your networking and FAMU will give you that.

Both are really good schools, but I think that Morehouse is more well-known overall, although I have heard some really good things about FAMU's Business and Economics majors. It's considered to be one of the best colleges for African American students by Black Enterprise magazine. I personally would go to the school that offers more money since I would be strapped for cash. But I would suggest, if you have the time and means... to visit both campuses, meet with fellow students and faculty members, and pick the one which seems like the best fit for you.

Well, I'm sort of biased because I attend FAMU.. but I'll try to be as helpful as possible...

Pick which school accentuates you as a person and your interests. If you're interested in Pharmacy, Business, or Economics, then FAMU is a really great choice. We were also ranked the #1 college for Black students to attend in 2006. But I can also say that when it comes to certain things getting taken care of in a timely fashion (such as financial aid), FAMU can be kind of slow and there are times that you have to stay on them about other things (but I've heard that it's like that at colleges everywhere). On the other hand, Atlanta is filled with more to do as far as a city is concerned if you're the type of person that likes to get out and about. One positive thing about Tallahassee is that the city's livelyhood is centered around students because it is a college driven town (FAMU,FSU,TCC). Yes, there are a lot of colleges in Atl, but Tallahassee basically caters to students as far as jobs and off-campus housing is concerned. Whichever you choose, make sure that it's in your best interest.

Studentsreview.com will give you insight to how the students feel about their school...it's been helpful with my search.

I would say....it's a tough call....I guess FAMU. By looking at their websites, I would lean towards them...but it's completely up to where you're the most comfortable at.

Good luck!
