The more you think you understand people, the more they probably understand you?

The more you are working at this understanding, the more they will because there is a contact of sharing between the two individuals, and chances are it will benefit everyone involved near or far in some way. If everyone did try this, there would be less violence and wars.

I don't think that's true. Most people who are easy to figure out are so self absorbed that they don't even care about understanding you.
