HI i have ben on infertility drugs on and off for many many many yrs.

First of al Yasmin is NOT a fertility drug its a birth control pill.

So I wouldnt try that. A very low % of women get prego while on the pill.

I have use clomid. I did research on clomid and I found out that Clomid thing is the lining of the uterus and IT has a very low success rate.
The injectable fertility drugs like:

Gonalf
follistim
pergonal
repronex
all have higher success rates.
Some people are afriad of shots however, they now have fertility pens. WITH tiny thin needles. THe shos go in the tummy and they dont hurt. perhaps a tiny pinch. The tummy has very few nerve endings so it doesnt hurt. However if you are doing IVF invitro you will need to do a IM shos in muscle like the butt or thigh.

I never once ovualted on clomid.

I always ovulate on injectables.

I have PCOS poly cystic ovarian syndrome.
7 miscarrages
1 ectopic pregnancy.
I am still trying.

Gonalf, ganirellix, and ovidrell.

gonalf stmulates my ovaries to produce folicles/eggs, Ganirellix keeps everything rip, and OVIdrell is a HCGH trigger shot. IT triggers the ovary to let go of the eggs so that hopefully they will be fertilized.

Injectables drugs are great. But they have many side effects just like clomid does.

moodiness
bloating
weight gain
cramping etc etc etc
risk are hyperstimulating- ovaries being over worked. etc
IUI is Inter uterine insemination
When you are taking fertility drugs your reproductive endocrinoloigsts must monitor you properly with transvaginal ultrasounds and lab work. They will guide and tell u when to take your meds and when to be in clinci for monitoring or a procedure.

I wish you all the luck in the world.
BABYSDUST!
i HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL TO YOU.

It really depends on the cause of the fertility issue. Medications that work to treat things like pituitary gland imbalances aren't likely to treat the same fertility issue as lack of ovulation caused by Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Someone who ovulates regularly but has a luteal phase defect isn't really going to benefit from Clomid, which stimulates the ovaries, but probably needs progesterone supplements to extend the luteal phase. If there is a fertility issue, the best thing to do is to speak to a doctor or other health care provider who can diagnose the issue and provide proper treatment and guidance.

It depends on what's causing the woman to be infertile.
It also depends on the woman and her doctor.
