I have a couple of Algebra/Inequality questions that i am stumped on could anyone please help??
You can do all or some of the questions i just need some help please help me

1. Bob wants to buy Peanuts (p) cashews (c) and almonds (a)
P cost $3.50 c cost $4.60 and a cost $3.90. he has $15.00 to spend. Write an equation OR inequality that expresses the number of each type of nut he can buy.

3. Cashews sell for $3.75 per pound Peanuts sell for $2.00 per pund. How much nuts must Al mix to get 70 pounds of mixture that he can sell for $3.00 per pound. Express by linear equations.

4. the lenght of a rectangle if 7 cm more then 3 times the width. If the peremeter of the rectangle is 46 cm what are the dimensions.

5. A wholesaler has $75,000 to spend on certain models of T.V sets and VCRs. if th etv sets are obtained at $375 each and the vcrs are obtained at $215 each write an inequality the resticts the purchase of x tvs and y vcrs.

there are multiple questions right here. i'm going that should assist you with kind 4. we've: The length of a rectangle if 7 cm extra then three times the width. If the peremeter of the rectangle is 40 six cm, what are the dimensions? by potential of dimensions this is meant discover THE WIDTH and length of the rectangle. What all of us comprehend: length = 7cm + 3x Perimeter = 40 six cm What we don't comprehend: Width = x Use the edge of a rectangle formula: P = 2L + 2W 40 six cm = 2(3x + 7cm) + 2x 40 six = 6x + 14 + 2x 40 six = 8x + 14 40 six - 14 = 8x 32 = 8x 32 divided by potential of 8 = x 4 cm = x Dimensions are: Width = 4 cm length = 3x + 7 length = 3(4) + 7 length = 12 + 7 length = 19 cm examine: 19 cm + 19cm + 4cm + 4cm = 40 six cm. #1 ) p costs 3.50
c costs 4.60
and a costs 3.90
and he only has $15 to spend

so you know u cant go over 15 but u can go to 15
so that means its going to be <=15 (less than or equal to 15)

where p/c/a represents the amount of peanuts/cashews/almonds sold...

so 3.50p +4.60c + 3.90a <= 15

#4) so represent length by l and width by w
l = 7+3w
2l+2w = 46

since u know l = 7+3w substitute that in the second equation

2(7+3w) + 2w = 46
14 + 6w +2w = 46
14 + 8w = 46
8w = 32
w = 4 so the width equals 4
so now u know w = 4, plug it back into the first equation
l = 7+3w
l = 7 + 3(4)
l = 7 +12
l = 19

so you have length at 19cm, and width 4cm

#5) dealer has 75000 to spend so you know its got to be less then or equal to that. so x stands for tvs and y stands for vcrs

375x + 215y <= 75000

3.5p + 4.6 c + 3.9a =< 15

x = pounds of peanuts
70 - x = pounds of cashews
2x + 3.75(70-x) = 70* 3 <-- Solve for x

w = width
Then 5w +7 = length
perimeter = 2w +2(5w+7) =46 <-- solve for w

375x +215y =< 75,000
