I think this question might be a little vague. You need to clarify what you mean by "properties."

transverse waves r diff. from longitudinal waves.... tansverse waves vibrate in a direction that is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the wave, while longitudinal waves vibrates in a direction that is parallel to the direction of motion of the wave {just like sound waves}.
